This submission presents Dialogue Fiji’s recommendations to the Constitution Review Commission on the future of Fiji’s constitutional framework. While recognising the progressive foundations of the 2013 Constitution—including equal citizenry, secularism, and proportional representation—it argues that excessive executive power, weakened institutional independence and deficiencies in the constitutional review process undermine democratic legitimacy. The submission proposes reforms to the Constitutional Offices Commission, electoral system, Cabinet structure, judicial appointments, Parliament, rights protections and constitutional accountability while advocating that the review process become more transparent, participatory and evidence-based
