An independent civil society organisation with roots in Fiji’s peace-building movement, working across democratic governance, human rights and civic participation throughout the Pacific.
Its work has since expanded into research, civic education, policy advocacy and high-impact dialogue on democracy, elections, constitutionalism, human rights, social cohesion and economic policy.
In May 2026, Dialogue Fiji became the Centre for Democracy & Dialogue, reflecting its evolution into a leading independent policy institute and dialogue-convening body.

Civil society leaders, academics and senior civil servants from Fiji attended a UN-organised workshop on conflict resolution in Port Vila, and the idea of Dialogue Fiji was conceived.

Dialogue Fiji became a formally registered civil society organisation, providing a permanent institutional foundation for its work.
