Using accessible explanations, illustrations, comparative tables and constitutional references, it examines the 1997 Constitution, the 2012 Ghai Draft Constitution and the 2013 Constitution side by side. The guide covers constitutional principles and national identity, the Bill of Rights, restrictions on rights, Parliament and electoral systems, the President, Prime Minister and Cabinet, the judiciary and access to justice, independent institutions and appointment processes, iTaukei land and the Bose Levu Vakaturaga, the National People’s Assembly, immunity provisions and constitutional amendment.
