National Budget 2026–2027

This comprehensive research report presents findings from Dialogue Fiji’s national survey of 1,266 respondents across all four divisions, conducted in March and April 2026. It examines the most pressing national and household concerns, public spending priorities, confidence in fiscal responsiveness and cross-demographic differences. The report finds that cost of living is the dominant national concern, health is the leading budget priority, food prices are the defining household pressure, and many citizens doubt that government spending reflects ordinary people’s needs. It concludes with evidence-based policy recommendations for the 2026–2027 National Budget.
