CDD currently implements a range of projects that advance democratic governance, strengthen women’s political participation, promote civic accountability, and build social cohesion across Fiji.
The DeRiSC project works to strengthen an inclusive democratic society in Fiji by improving civic knowledge, supporting responsible journalism and advocating for policy reform. Its nationwide activities engage communities, young people, media, civil society, government and other decision-makers.
DASIG-Fiji strengthens inclusive and accountable democratic governance by expanding citizen participation, strengthening civil society and media oversight, and supporting evidence-based reform. Through community education, policy dialogue, youth engagement, media development, research and public accountability initiatives, it enables marginalised communities to engage with public institutions and influence decision-making.
Empowering Fiji’s Women in Politics strengthens the capacity, confidence and public visibility of aspiring women candidates across the Central, Western and Northern divisions. Through practical training, mentoring, campaign planning and public advocacy, it helps women prepare to contest elections while building support for gender-balanced political representation.
The IMPACT Initiative is a national human rights and accountability programme that documents violations, supports victims, strengthens communities and advocates for stronger laws and institutions in Fiji.
